Relative to our conversation on the assessment of this

property, I beg to remind you that the building was assessed

for the year 1st.July 30th. June 1939 at $4,800 by document

dated 5th. April, 1938 and issued from the Assessor's Office.

Under the circumstances I cannot understand why the

assessment has been increased to $21,800 within the period

already mentioned and unless the original figure is reverted

to, there is no alternative but to appeal to His Excellency,

the Governor in Council on what is in my estimation, an

arbitrary calculation.

As already pointed out, the original building has not

been extended in any form.
